T-minus 4
I have a lot to do in the next couple of days. But then who doesn't right now.
So far I have cleaned up the kitchen and the dining room. Next I plan to work on the laundry that is threatening to take over the world (or at least the house) and getting the living room knocked into shape. That will leave me the packing (which I can't do until the laundry is done) and a bit more shopping (things like getting kibble for the kitties) before we leave. Fortunately all the stuff I need to get I can get without going to a mall, which I am counting among my blessings today.
I got my angel doll done and off to its new owner. The last fluzzie has flown to its new home and I am now down to gifts that have to be wrapped and taken with us. That gives me a sense of relief. I don't feel like I have the sword of Damocles hanging over my head for the first time in a long time. Now I have a breather before starting the next project(s). I have a couple in the hopper including Farpoint both the art show and the Masquerade. I have a wacky anime type doll idea that I might try out there. I think some Doctors and Fluzzies will be making an appearance as well.
I have already started thinking about the year that has almost past. Probably because Winter is officially starting today (Happy Winter Solstice to those who celebrate) at 7:22 pm this evening. The weather has not been very winter-like. Rather warm over all so far. I do feel sorry for all those who were caught in the snowstorms out west and hope everyone is OK. The last time we had a December like this, January was a snowy winter wonderland. That was before Caroline was born. I am hoping for decent weather for the drive down but think we are going to hit some rain along the way.
I am grateful I got as much as I did this morning.
