RTBTCKI (The "I have only fat-free milk" edition)

I need to go out and do the weekly food shopping today. In Europe you tend to go to the market just about every day and pick up what you need for dinner with a slightly larger shop on the weekend. In America because of our busy schedule we try to buy a weeks worth (or more) of food in an hour or so. What makes this a little more interesting is that we lost our housekeeper to a full-time job. I am glad for her that she got it. She has a family to support and we could only offer part time. I am sad for us because our house is a big job to keep in order. So Caroline and I are going to be traveling around a lot more. She is well behaved in public for the most part and she does follow direction again for the most part but she is 3. Most people have her pegged as older since she is so tall and lanky.

Caroline and I went shopping for new bed linens for her big girl bed. I still need to get her a comforter but she is now set for sheets and pillows that she likes. We are lucky that she stays in her room until someone comes and gets her in the morning or at the end of her nap. Her naps are less frequent than they had been but she still takes them.

Favorite Oscar Acceptance Speech for me had to be Nick Park for Best Animated. Between the bow ties that they were sporting and the bow ties their Oscars were sporting shortly after they were handed to them to the bouncy speech I though it was great fun. I think this gives him a clean Oscar record for Wallace and Gromit at this point. Between this and the box office I hope we will see more of these sorts of films from them. Caroline was watch "Wallace and Gromit in the Curse of the Were-Rabbit" while we were watching the Oscars. She is on a really W&G kick right now.

Peter finished the Galatica Novel and we are now working on the proofing and wordsmithing before it goes off to the editor. I have to spend my day finishing up a project that I am way behind on. Then onto the next one and the next one.

Gwen is in New York for her winter break. She swung by the house yesterday and Caroline was very happy to see her. Recognized her by name right off the bat. When Gwen had to leave Caroline grabbing her hand and dragged her to the couch. Caroline patted the couch and said, "Sit please." We had to explain that Gwen had to go but she would be back later in the week. Caroline accepted that and let her go. Caroline already has a pretty good time sense.

I have a wacky idea for a doll that I am going to try to execute before LunaCon. I'll be putting up pictures of my ATCs after I get my package since those were part of the rules of the swap. Snakes are on my list next too.

Caroline has a new favorite show that I just keep telling myself that it isn't Barney. It is called "Wonder Pets" and it is starting to grow on me. It is in some ways very crud animation but it is about small fuzzy animals helping other small fuzzy animals and Caroline is all about the animals. It is basically operetta with animals.

Well I am off to clean for an hour and then back to writing and editing. For anyone reading this, I hope you have a good day today or had a good day if you are reading this in the evening or at a later date.

I am grateful for my twisted imagination.
