All Hallows Eve 2005
Happy Halloween or Samhain or whatever you call today if you call it anything besides Monday.
I have a little more to do on Ariel's Miss Piggy Mask but it is basically done. I think about another hour and it will be totally done. All I need after this is some candy, a pair of white tights for Caroline and the rest of the comics and I am ready to go.
Yesterday was my niece's birthday. Genevieve turned three years old. She thanked me over the phone for the present that we sent her. Ariel picked out some clothing with a Cinderella theme that went over well.
Caroline and I went pumpkin picking yesterday. They had one of those bounce houses that the kids can go in and bounce to their hearts content. Caroline had a blasting. She was giggling and bouncing and having a great time. I had a little trouble getting her to come out when time was up but she did. She amazed all the parents with her feats of strength by picking up pumpkins and carrying them to the cart. Then she pushed the cart. Yes I do have pictures. I am waiting until after I get the costume pictures and I will post them all.
Monday Morning Quarterbacking
The Jets had a bye week, as did the Colts, the Falcons and the Seahawks so we have to wait until next week to see if the Colts continue their perfect record drive. The Giants did very well. I got to watch the game while I worked on the costumes. I think they have the motivation now that is going to take them all the way to the Super Bowl this year. It is sad that it was the death of one of the owners but they have a fire within I hadn't seen before this year.
In the "how stupid can you be and how much DID you have to drink" category, I could not believe the idiot who disrupted play during the Packers and the Bengals. He stripped the ball from Brett Favre and the Packers lost their momentum as security ran around the field to catch this guy. I am really wondering where security was looking when this happened. Here's a clue, you should be watching the crowd not the game. I really don't care how exciting the game is. There are a couple of people who should have a stern talking to for this cock-up.
What happened to the Eagles? I watched the Broncos tap dance all over both their defense and their offence. It wasn't as if they didn't have chances because they did and could not get the job done. McNabb was 12 for 34 in passing and only 1 for 14 at the beginning of the game. Yea, they did make a come back but they never really threatened the Broncos. The Vikings continue to sink into oblivion.
There are rumors that the owner of the Saints may use the act of God clause in his contract with New Orleans and move the Saints elsewhere possibly even out of Louisiana. I think that is a bad idea. I don't care that he is still sulking that he didn't get his new stadium a year or so ago. He is going to get it now due to the damage to the Super Dome or at least he might be able to get the upgrades when they fix it. Suck it up and go back to New Orleans. The city needs you and the team to beat up on and make themselves feel better.
