Memes
On other Blogs I have found and read these things called Memes. I have no idea why they are called that. Since I am obsessed about some other stuff I can’t write about yet, I thought I would do a few today to get my mind off the other stuff.
Holiday Meme
1. What is the best present you ever received? A portable AM/FM radio that I still have and still works. I have used that radio just about everywhere I have lived. It is battery operated so when the power goes out, you can still listen to weather reports and school closing and NPR. I can remember my mother using it to pick up the school closing when I was a kid. I think I got it when I was 9 or 10.
2. What does the holiday season mean to you? In a word, Family. I think more so than Thanksgiving or any other holiday in the calendar currently. This season is about family both near and far.
3. What is the one present (be materialistic, no world peace!) that you are hoping to get?
An iPod but only if I get the job. It is sort of pointless without the job since I can play Cds on my iBook anytime I want to and I have access to a CD player at home. The other thing I would like is the electronic equivalent of a photo album. (Attention Davids and O’Sheas: For those who give me gifts please consult each other to avoid duplication of effort)
4. What is your favorite holiday song?
Joan Baez singing Little Drummer Boy. That or her singing O Come, O Come, Emmanuel. I think the Noel album is my favorite Christmas Album of all times
