Stuff in my Head

I am so proud of my husband. His team came in first place in his bowling league. He has been working so hard to improve his game for this goal. Last night by the second of a three game series, they had clinched the title. He won all his points and helped them get total wood for the evening. So he stayed up all night writing the next Star Trek novel on the adrenaline.

For all who were interested in the hand and rod “Vampire Detective” puppets. I am about to do a batch of them. They run $250 with removable nose and fangs. Yes, I can do other types of puppets. You should see the one I scared Clive Barker with. Some who were at Dragon Con back in 1998 did see it.

So the Mets aren’t exactly burning up the win charts. I thought this was suppose to be the year of the rebuild with younger players. Where are the younger players? I am seeing a bunch of players that seem in the twilight of their game days. What happened to the bright future for this ball club?

Peter and I have our wedding anniversary towards the end of this month. He bought me tickets to Alegria (Cirque Du Soliel). I remember the first time I saw Cirque was totally b y accident. I was walking by where they had the tent in Battery Park way way back when and I bought a student ticket. One of those life changing theatrical experiences. Since then I have seen every traveling show. I just need the Las Vegas ones to complete my set. Somehow they manage to keep the basic idea of Cirque fresh and exciting.

Another Life Changing Theatrical Experience. There was a puppeteer named Bruce Schwartz. I am pretty sure that he is still alive but he has hung up his puppet strings and retired. He did a few pieces on the Muppet Show. It was exquisite hand and rod work. The puppets he build were works of art. He did a show called “Marie Antoinette tonight” that changed how I look at puppets and puppetry for ever. Then there is Jon Ludwig who I have worked with. Jon did this insane little show called “The Heaven Hell Tour”” which was a bunch of puppetry vignettes strung together with a narrative thread of touring Heaven and Hell. At the end you had a choice to go to Heaven but you had to walk across the stage or go to Hell past the lake of fire or comeback the way you came and take the easy way out. If you tried to take the easy way out, you were informed that there was no easy way out so you had to choose between Heaven and Hell.

I feel like a bee buzzing in a jar right now. I think I can get out but I keep hitting the walls. I just need some quiet uncluttered time to sort some stuff out and I’ll be fine. The signal to noise ratio in my head is just too high.

Off to cut cloth.
