Imagine Swallowing Molten Lava

And you have some idea how my throat feels right now. I am running a fever, my nose is very slightly stuffy, my neck hurts and is very stiff and my throat is making me regret each and every time I swallow something.

The timing on this really stinks because I have a lot to do this week getting ready for Ariel’s Senior Prom, her graduation, and her graduation party on Saturday. I can say that my kitchen is in great shape. Now I have to get a few more rooms ready.

Caroline has her last week of kindergarten. Her original teacher is back from maternity leave and Caroline is very excited in seeing her again. Thursday and Friday are half days so I have less time than I think I have in terms cleaning.

Peter is busy writing and trying to clear the decks so he can take a weekend off. He had a very nice Father’s Day yesterday. We sat down and watched the first two episodes of Merlin (the BBC version) and it reminds me a lot of the Robin Hood that was done in England recently. Peter calls it Camelot 90210 and I don’t think he is too far off. Ariel really likes it a lot and I think she is the target audience for this one.

I am thinking that a visit to the Doctor is in the cards for me today. I want to make sure this is not strep throat. If it is viral, then I will be uncomfortable for a couple of days and then it should be all over.

I am grateful for things that make it not feel like I am swallowing hot lava.
